The way points of this running / walking route:
We had a beaut day yesterday clambering up Jagungal. Now to continue our journey. We continue south and up onto the scenic Kerries Ridge.
With some luck we can ford the Valentine here. We'll head south past Mawson's Hut and up onto the Kerries Ridge
This is a cattleman's hut from the days before livestock were banned from the National Park >60 years ago. The Mawson for whom it was named is not related to the Antarctic explorer. We will visit the hut to fill in the logbook.
Great views of Jagungal behind us, Gungartan ahead of us, Grey Mare range to the west and the Main Range extending away to the south west.
This is a relic of the Snowy Scheme. The hut was the dwelling and surgery of Dr Schlink.
This is Schlink Pass.
