The way points of this running / walking route:
Way point 1, use Map 9129-4N Port Hacking. From the station, the track head is to the south of the Emergency Services building and follows around the south side of the houses
Stay on the service trail. Don't take the Karloo track.
Way point 5 Ref LH173265. Start of the Heathcote Audley track
Lots of Gymea Lily and lush bush.
Point 7, Ref LH182270 Engadine Track Junction. Head 128 deg for 50m before it swings to 054deg. Its about 2.4km to Kangaroo Ck, a good spot for lunch.
Steep but good path, flagstones are cemented in.
Point 9, Ref LH 195278 Good lunch spot.
Point 10 Ref LH202276. Good views of the Engadine Ck.
Point 11 Map Ref LH202276 Audley, a good exit point if your getting tired. There are hot snacks and coffee at the kiosk. The Visitor Centre moved to here in late 2007 so you can check on conditions and permits etc.
Waypoint 12, Ref LH207280. Audley Weir, Step climb up to the "Old" visitor centre on the Honeymoon trail.
Waypoint 13, Ref LH207291, Carpark, follow the railway line to Loftus. Lots of mountain bikes use the tracks here, keep left.
Its very dangerous crossing the highway. There is no safe way to do it, take care. There are lots of cyclists and the speed limit is 90km/h. The entrance to the station is just past the Tramway Museum entrance to the north west if you choose to use this exit.
