The way points of this running / walking route:
La concha is the big mountain that dominates the skyline of Marbella. Drive on road A355 towards Monda. After Ojen turn left into the maontain road to 'Refugio de Juanar'. Pass the refugio on the right and park your car at the very end of the road in front of the big iron door that leads into the Olivar de Juanar. Don't miss anything in the car. Every person has to carry at least 1 1/2 litres of water. There is no inn on this route.
Turn to the right
In the forest turn right and follow the 'La Concha' sign
Turn the right pass to La Concha
Don't climb onto the big mountain in front of you, but take the path downwords on your right side.
Climbing here is a little bit dangerous. The direction of the path is not very clear.
Enjoy the view on the Mediterranian Sea and on the lake of Istán. Return on the same way on which you came.
Turn right upwards to mountain 'Cruce de Juanar'
Turn downwards into the valley of Olivar de Juanar
You are back at your car.
