Leaving Vanier's French Quarter into New Edinburgh. Fine dining, pubs, bistros and 3 coffee shops, grocery store and a gas station are all near or on the main street, Beechwood Ave. In New Edinburgh or The Burg(h) as some will call it, you'll come across 19th Century homes mixed with new builds of condos and town houses, mature trees and gardens, Stanley Park, The Governor Generals Residence and the official residence of the Prime Minister of Canada, the Rideau Falls, the Rideau River and the Ottawa River and many Embassies.
Architecture from the 19th Century, mature trees and gardens, The Official Residence of the Prime Minister of Canada, The Governor General's Residence, Rideau Falls, Stanley Park along the picturesque Rideau River with bicycle trails, soccer field, baseball diamond, public tennis courts and a sprinkler pad active July & August. The Ottawa river. Shops, a gas station, fine dining, pubs and bistros and at least 3 coffee shops are mainly found on-near Beechwood Ave. The French Quarter is located south-east of this walk.
