The way points of this running / walking route:
Start from home; walk down Sangster to get to Gonzales; a bit of a slope so take it slow and don't wear shoes that will slip! There is no footpath here so you'll either have to walk on the road (which is easier) or the grass.
Now you're at Gonzales. Its a very easy walk down this stretch.
Still on Gonzales; Now down a hill to get to Laver Street.
Now at Laver; turn left to go towards Mains Road
Now at Mains; cross Laver and continue down Mains.
Continue walking in along the footpath; you'll go under the Pacific Motorway; its a bit noisy.
Okay now! We're at the turn-off from Klumpp Rd onto Mains; Watch out for the traffic, it doesn't stop for you so you'll have to wait for a gap.
You're on the other side now! You can walk on the grass easily enough. You can walk across the bus lane; there are never any buses through there (have never seen any EVER!) but still use your look both ways rule!
At the pedestrian lights; you know the drill.
On the other side; you are standing before a turnoff and there are no lights here; just be careful and wait for enough time to pass safely.
Now on the pedestrian path to get to the busway. If you're walking this a night be careful; there is unfenced bushland off to the side, things could be lurking there!
Still on pathway
Still on pathway. We have come to a gutter that slopes down an embankment. When its no raining it makes for a perfect shortcut than having to wind your way up the sloping pathway. Remember non-slip shoes! I'm sorry if you're disabled; you'll have to take the sloping pathway graciously provided by the busway.
At the top of the gutter now. You can squeeze around the fence; there is a groove in the dirt now from all the people who make the short cut! Lack of things to trip on here but be careful with you're clothes, you could get it caught on the fence!
Now we're here! Its a lot more likely you'll get a bus with a seat from here than if you walked to QEII Stadium.
